Abstract
The world of construction in Indonesia is progressing very rapidly, as
evidenced by the many developments planned by the government. One of the
most massive developments taking place in Indonesia is the construction of
bridges. This needs to be done to connect between regions with the aim of
equitable distribution of the economic sector. In the process of building a bridge
there is a risk of work accidents. In Indonesia, the project environment is still a
place where there is a considerable risk of work accidents. In this research, we
analyze the risk of work accidents that may occur in the Lubuk Jambi bridge
construction project. The research was conducted by using an assessment method
for each job, starting with the preparation stage, data collection by means of
interviews which would later be used to create questionnaires and data processing
by calculating the score on the form using the matrix method. The results of this
study indicate that the long-span concrete bridge construction project located in
Lubuk Jambi, Riau is classified as a “Low Risk” value. The work with the largest
average value is pavement work with a value of 3.373 but for sub-jobs with the
greatest value is pillar and abutment work with a risk value of 5 or said to be
moderate risk. The job with the smallest average value is in thejob finshing with a
value of 2.496.
