Abstract
Fire is a disaster that can cause loss to all parties, including building owners, users, or
other communities in the building. Many buildings in Indonesia have not met the fire
protection system standards. This study aims to identify the reliability system of fire
protection applied to a multi-story building such as building A of Universitas Aisyiyah
Yogyakarta. This study used two methods, namely the descriptive analysis method to
describe the fire protection system applied in this university and the descriptivequantitative method using direct observation and in-depth interviews based on building
fire safety inspection. The result showed that building A of Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta
obtained a reliability value of Building Safety System (NKSKB) of 64.1% in which it is
considered in the category “C” based on SNI Pd T-11-2005-C. In detail, it was found that
the value reached 100% for site completeness, 66% for rescue tools, 37% for active
protection system, and 53% for passive protection system of the SNI Pd T-11-2005-C
standards. Based on those results, it can be said that the site completeness has the highest
value, while the active protection system has the lowest value.
