Abstract
Premature babies are babies born before 37 weeks of birth weighing less than 2500grams or often referred to as low-birth weight (BBLR) babies. Baby incubators play an important role in maintaining the environment for premature babies. The baby incubator's working system will automatically turn the heater on or off according to the standards specified for the temperature and humidity of the air inside the infant incubator. The standard of incubator moisture that needs to be maintained according to medical advice is 50-70% RH. The sensors to be used in this study are temperature and humidity sensors namely SHT11 to detect the humidity of the Baby Incubator chamber chamber and maintain moisture values in the range of 50-70%RH by moving the DC motor automatically which is programmed using the Arduino Mega microcontroller based on ATmega2560. Sensor testing was conducted by comparing the sensor's reading value with the comparative device Thermohygrometer Fluke. Based on sensor test result data, the largest error value is 0.57% at the temperature setting of 37°C and the smallest error value is 0.06% at the temperature setting of 33°, with the data it can be said that the humidity system automatically works well because it is able to maintain the humidity value at a range of 50-70%RH with a sub-standard error value allowed of ±3.5%.
