Abstract
This research discussed the female labour force participation in Yogyakarta, where the female labour force participation is lower than the female. one. In fact, the female population in Yogyakarta outnumber the male. The femalc education of levei was left behind from the male antl the acces to the economy was still insufficient. The sanples were taken from the whole areas of Yogyakarta beetwen the year 1975 to 2005 svith the variables of the number of educated female population, and the income level, the unemployment level and the fertility level. By using the double Iinear regression method, the research aimed at identifying whether the variables influenced the female labour force participation in Yogyakarta. The result of the research showed that thc female population become more in number in getting the education, and the increasing unemployment made the women to find jobs to help support the families although the salary svas so minimum.
