Abstract
One of the diseases in potato is caused by a virus. ”Symptoms of a viral
infection in potato plants, such as necrosis, mosaic, chlorosis, thickening of the
green around the veins (vein banding), bleaching of the leaf bones (vein clering),
stripes (mottle), shrinkage (clinkle) of leaves to stunt the plant. This viral disease
of the potato plant cannot be treated. So, what must be done is to control the spread
of the virus infection. The spread of this virus can occur by contact between plants,
infection from the soil, and insect pests. Therefore, a periodic monitoring system is
needed to determine the level of development and spread of disease occurrences.
This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the development of jaundice
in potatoes by using drone images and image processing. The method used in this
research is contrast strecthing by changing the RGB color channel. The results of
this study are the image results show that potato plants that experience symptoms
of leaf jaundice are detected by a change in color on the leaves of potato plants that
have experienced leaf yellow symptoms that begin to appear at week 3. These
results are different from direct observations where the color changes observed in
week 5. The use of drones is expected to increase the accuracy of monitoring
activities as well as the application of technology in agriculture.Keywords: potato,
