Abstract
Nurse caring behavior must be start internalized from nursing education. Student
dormitories are a living environment that can influence caring characters. The
purpose of this study was to determine the influence of implementing dormitory
"curriculum" guidelines on the caring character of nursing students in PKU
Muhammadiyah Temanggung hospitals.
Method: Experiment, Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The sample consisted
of 58 respondents who were determined by quota sampling, a total of 58 students
undergoing clinical practice at PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung Hospital.
research tools using the quisionare compiled based on dormitory guidelines and 10
caring caratif Watson. validity and reliability tests were conducted. Data analysis
used univariate, independent t test, ane way-anova test and simple linear regression
(Pearson product moment correlation).
R esults showed that there was a significant influence on the intervention group
between the implementation of the dormitory "curriculum" guide (p value = 0.010),
Worship learning outcomes (p value = 0.040) and Moral learning outcomes (p value
= 0.047). and in the control group training experience (p value = 0.005), on the student caring character where the p value <α 0.05. The mean of all variables in the
treatment group is higher than that of the control group
