PERBEDAAN EFEKTIFITAS ANTARA CRESOPHEN DENGAN . METRONIDAZOL GEL 25” SEBAGAI BAHAN STERILISASI SALURAN AKAR PADA NEKROSIS PULPA DISERTAI PERIODONTITIS (kajian pada bakteri Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans)

ABSTRACT Pulp necrosis is a dying pulp because of an inflammation. Tooth have been pulp necrosis often appear with periodontitist. Actinobacillus actinomycetecomitans is microbiota as the main agent that cause endoperiodontal. Thus effectively root canal sterilization materials is needed and in order to bactericid or bacteriostatic also can as additional treatment endoperiodontal lesion.
The difuse methode of Kirby bauer is used in this research. The utilized material in this research are Cresophen and Metronidazole gel 25%. It amount of 30 plates and each plates divided into 1 holes as the tested materials. The preservation media utilized TSA (Tryptone Soya Agar) and bacteria consertration is 108 CFU (Colonies Forming Unit). Research data were stastical analyzing by using parametric analyze independent sample t-test of p<0,05. The results of stastistical analyze show significant different among Cresophen and Metronidazole gel 25% as root canal sterilization materials towads Actinobacillus actinomycetecomitans. The conclusion of this study is Cresophen more effective from metronidazole gel 25%.
