Abstract
Cupping is a method of treatment of the Arabs use suction cups, with the purpose of having blood that contains residual toxins in the body through the skin surface. This process causes erithema and edema that will heal a few weeks later. Many people who use the therapy to treat diseases, disorders, especially hematologic system. This study aims to determine the bruising effect on uric acid levels in patients hiperurisemia. Decreased levels of uric acid is an approach to reduce the risk of arthritis.
This study used a quasi-experimental research design with pretest and post test. The subjects of this study are healthy women aged 35 to 55 years amounted to 22 people. All subjects were treated with the same frequency bruises all. Blood samples were obtained through blood capillaries and then measured using a rapid test to test the level of uric before treatment, and five days after a cupping treatment. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks.
