Abstract
Background : Online learning in tutorial and lecture activities at UMY dentistry is a form of learning adaptation in the new normal era of the COVID-19 pandemic. This form of learning has many obstacles that can affect the learning activities. Research Objectives: To determine student responses to online learning in tutorial and lecture activities in the new normal era at UMY Dentistry. Research Methods: This research is a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional approach. 303 students of the Dentistry Study Program were selected research subjects with a total sampling. Data was collected by distributing a modified questionnaire with a total of 27 items online. Data analysis using frequency distribution using SPSS program. 26.0. Research Results: Data analysis showed that of the 278 students who filled out the questionnaire, most of them agreed that the implementation of online learning in tutorial activities showed a positive response from students, both in aspects of the construct process and construct content. The majority of students 47.3% (131) agreed that online tutorial activities do not take up much time and are a very good way to learn the material. Three parameters met the effective category, and one parameter met the very effective category. While the other six parameters only meet the category of moderately effective. In general, students tend to be satisfied with online learning activities. The majority of students 52.0% (144) students agreed that they felt helped by the learning materials provided online. However, the majority of students 39.4% (109) also indicated that they were not very satisfied with the practical and theoretical knowledge gained from the online learning process. Conclusion: Student responses to online learning in tutorial activities are positive. Students show a response that online learning in lecture activities is considered not to be superior or effective as the learning method used. In general, students are also satisfied with online learning that has taken place during the new normal era of the COVID-19 pandemic
