Abstract
Teacher written feedback have crucial role in writing to improve students writing ability especially in EED of PUY. Teacher written feedback given when the students have something wrong in their writing. In this case, this study aims to find out the students’ perception toward teacher written feedback on their writing assessment. This study used the qualitative method as research design and to collect the data the researcher used interview. Three participants from English Language Education Department students were chosen by the researcher. The researcher has some criteria when choosing the participants. The first criteria are the students should from batch 2018 because they have feedback in hard file form while batch 2019-above were given feedback in soft file form because the pandemic. The second and third criteria are the students should have good GPA and they should have different GPA each other to avoid same answer and provide more variety of answer. The result of this study found that there are five types of teachers written feedback. Based on participants answer those findings are; Language Use (articles, tenses, plural), Capitalization, Punctuation, Organization, Content. Moreover, the students’ also have action regarding the feedback that teacher gives. Based on three participants answer those findings are; Taking Note, Revising, Correcting, and Asking.
