Abstract
Hypothermia is defined as a clinical condition when the body temperature is below35°C. Hypothermia usually occurs in patients after surgery. The decrease in body temperature caused by low room temperature during and after surgery is the main factor that causes a sharp drop in the body temperature of hypothermic patients can have a negative impact on the patient. With an incident like this, the author decided to make a tool with the title "Hypothermia Blanket Based on Arduino" to solve problems in hypothermic patients quickly and precisely. The design of this tool uses Arduino uno as a processor and a DS18B20 sensor for temperature readings. Wet heater as a water heater, water pump as a driver of the water cycle from the tool to the blanket and vice versa. The temperature setting and mode will be displayed on the LCD screen. This tool will use 2 modes, namely manual mode, and automatic mode. And for testing the tool will use a digital thermometer to read the temperature. The temperature range used to set the tool is 34°C - 38°C. The highest error percentage value in the automatic mode setting is at a temperature setting of 34°C, 1.38% for tool error and 0.79% for thermometer error. And the highest error percentage value in manual mode setting is at 36°C temperature setting which is 1.33% for tool error and 1.18% for thermometer error. The percentage value of the average error is still within the tolerance value limit, which is ± 5%.
