Abstract

This research is about technological advances in the form of Twitter which is increasingly being used in Indonesian politics. This is used by political parties to garner sympathy from voters, especially novice voters whose numbers are very large so that they become easy targets because they are considered to have low political education whose peak use occurs during the 2019 Election. other political conflicts that may affect political participation. The general election itself is a clear proof of the Indonesian government system, namely democracy. This study examines the effect of using Twitter on the political participation of novice voters in the 2019 election. This type of research is quantitative with a survey method or a questionnaire with 19 questions. The results showed that there was a positive influence between the use of Twitter and political participation.
