Abstract
Technology in community unconsciously can be a factor of ear disorders and break the auditory system. Noise levels that exceed threshold values can affect the onset of hearing loss and the risk of damage to the ear is both temporary and permanent. To diagnose any ear disorders, you need a test using an audiometer. Audiometer tool can be said to be one of the medical devices that have a fairly high selling price therefore this research aims to make audiometer devices with a low cost budget but the tools made are not much different in terms of function with tools that are sold freely in the market. The testing method is to compare the frequency produced by the tool with the comparison tool in the form of an oscilloscope and the intensity of sound coming out of the headphones using a standard tool in the form of a Sound Level Meter. The result of the frequency test produced the highest error value at a frequency of 8000 Hz which is 2.37 % while in the sound intensity test compared to the sound level meter tool there is a much difference in the range of 10-30 db because the room at the time of testing is inadequate with an error value. ±1%. The resulting error value is still within the tolerance threshold limit of 5% therefore it can be said that the audiometer that has been made can function properly
