Abstract
This study aims to create a thermoelectric generator data acquisition tool to facilitate monitoring and recording data acquisition when the charcoal furnace is operating. This research was conducted to determine the sensors used to monitor the thermoelectric generator applied to the charcoal-making furnace. The acquisition data will be displayed in Microsoft Excel. This research is the development of previous research which still uses LCD and has not been able to record acquisition data. The controller component in this study uses the Arduino Uno R3 Atmega328 microcontroller to program all the sensors used. The sensors used are the type K thermocouple sensor which is used to measure the temperature of the thermoelectric generator and coolant to cool the thermoelectric generator, the DC voltage sensor is used to measure the DC electric current output issued by the thermoelectric generator, and the ACS712 current sensor to measure the current from the generator. thermoelectric generator to turn on the lights. From the results of the thermoelectric generator monitoring, the highest temperature on the hot side is at 760 seconds, which is 173º C, the highest cold side temperature is at 82 seconds, which is 113º C, and the highest coolant temperature is at 900 seconds, which is 37º C. The highest DC voltage produced by the thermoelectric generator is at 890 seconds, which is 5.05 V and the current used to turn on the highest lamp load is 0.27 A at 880 seconds. From this tool it is able to measure temperatures from 0º C to 800º C with an accuracy of 0.25º C.
