Abstract
Nanofiber membranes made from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) gohsenol have superior properties including: biocompatible, biodegradable and odorless, so that this material becomes one of the suitable materials to be implemented in various fields including biomedical and filtration. Research on the effect of the voltage ratio (V)/needle tip distance to the collector or TCD (Tip to Collector Distance) on nanofiber membranes using PVA as a base material has been carried out, but research on the effect of V/TCD on nanofiber morphology using PVA-based gohsenol is rare. and very few are reported. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of V/TCD on the morphology of the gohsenol PVA nanofiber membrane. The manufacture of nanofiber membranes begins with weighing and adding 10 g of PVA gohsenol powder and 90 g of Aquades mixed for 1 hour in a measuring cup to get a solution of PVA gohsenol (w/w). after that the gohsenol PVA solution was made into nanofiber membranes using an electrospinning machine with voltage variations of 13 kV, 15 kV, and 17 kV parameters. The variations in the distance of the syringe tip to the collector are 13 cm, 15 cm, and 17 cm. then tested using an optical microscope Olympus BX53M.. The results of this study indicate that the optimal range-voltage variation is found in the values of 13 cm - 13 kV, 15 cm-15 kV, and 17 cm - 17 kV with an V/TCD value of 1 kV/cm. Beads and hollows occur when the value of the V/TCD exceeds the value of 1 kV/cm. If the value of the V/TCD is less than 1 kV/cm, the fiber tends to be misaligned and the fabrication time will be longer
