Abstract
This undergraduate thesis will explore the foreign policy of the United States under the administrations of President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump regarding the dangers of ISIS terrorism. Then, in particular, we will look at the contrast between President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump's perceptions of the dangers posed by terrorist attacks. The perceived contrast is very significant because it has an impact on the differences in policies that exist between the two governments. Using qualitative methods, through the use of secondary data, namely library research in the form of written data, such as books, journals, newspapers, and lectures. And also for data in electronic form, such as e-books, e-journals and websites. Using a framework based on the concept of foreign policy and the theory of perception of Barack Obama and Donald Trump in dealing with the threat of terrorism. conclusions about all existing discussions starting from the beginning of the emergence and the main goals and ideals of ISIS. Then, there are foreign policy differences between Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump regarding the threat of ISIS terrorism. Lastly, there is a difference in perception between President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump which gave rise to the concept of social and political background to the threat of ISIS terrorism.
