Abstract
Capacitor banks can reduce losses, increase service capacity and reduce voltage drops. The placement of capacitor banks is needed to overcome the problem of voltage drops that occur in both high-voltage transmission lines and mediumvoltage distribution lines. Research on Power Loss Analysis and Feasibility of Bank Capacitor Installation in Distribution Line Chf 3 PT. Bukit Asam.tbk to improve voltage quality and reduce power losses. There are two methods of installing capacitor banks, namely using the global compensation method, group compensation, and where the two capacitor bank installation methods will be compared and the best method is chosen for repairing power losses, improving the voltage profile and taking into account the economic value, namely the costs required for use. and the installation of a capacitor bank.
