Abstract

Kahoot! is one of the applications that can support the teaching and learning process. It can be used by students as the review material in learning English language. The aim of this study was to found out the students’ attitudes toward using Kahoot! in classroom activity and to investigate the evaluation of Kahoot! features during teaching and learning process. This research was conducted at the English Language Education Department of a private university in Yogyakarta. This study was accomplished through quantitative survey design. The data was collected using questionnaire. To select the participant, this study used random stratified sampling to get the sample of this research. There were 234 students from batch 2018, 2019 and 2020 English Language Education Department participated in this study. The result showed that the English Language Education Department students’ attitude have a “positive attitude” towards using Kahoot! in classroom activity (M= 3.40, SD=.428). Besides, the features of Kahoot! was considered “very satisfying” by the students (M= 3.52, SD= .453). In conclusion, Kahoot! can be used by the students and the teachers in English learning purposes. In condition, teachers can maximize the features of Kahoot! application.
