UPAYA UNI EROPA DALAM MENANGANI ISLMOPHOBIA DI PERACIS

This study aims to analyze the efforts of the European Union in dealing with cases of Islamophobia in France. The European Union is a supranational organization that exerts the most significance and the best influence globally. The European Union is also an institution that discusses the implementation of human rights, economic and political issues, and minimizes internal conflicts between member states. The European Union's efforts to deal with Islamophobia in France are through ECRI (European Commission against Racism and Intolerance), by issuing various policy recommendations for the French in combating racism and intolerance, one of which is Islamophobia. Several ECRI recommendations have received a good response from the French government. The French government took certain steps, one of which was promoting the "Diversity Award" so that there no longer be any acts of discrimination against Muslims and other vulnerable groups. The recommendations given by ECRI to the French government regarding the phenomenon of Islamophobia in the country provide space for Muslims who are discriminated against to get justice. Based on the studies that have been conducted, it can be concluded that the European Union has an active role in dealing with Islamophobia in France.
