ALASAN AMERIKA SERIKAT MENENTANG KEBIJAKAN “WAR ON DRUGS” RODRIGO DUTERTE PADA MASA PEMERINTAHAN BARACK OBAMA

This study aims to analyze why the United States Went Against Rodrigo Duterte’s “War on Drugs” Policy in Barack Obama Era. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method with the theory used is constructivism (state identity) which explains that influences of action in international relations are based on the norms, identity, and interests of the state. In conducting the analysis, the authors use library research techniques to find data through sources in the form of journals, official websites, research results from other parties, books, and so on, so that the data which can be secondary data. The results of the study, the reasons of United States Went Against Rodrigo Duterte’s “War on Drugs” Policy in the Barack Obama Era because the United States is a country with Human Rights as norms. The United States also is a country with a superpower identity, which to show the existent it, the United States created an institution to promote and show the values of human rights, which is the norms in the United States.
