Abstract

New and renewable energy is an alternative energy source. Alternative energy that is currently undergoing development can be utilized in everyday life. Utilization of alternative energy requires a tool called an inverter. Inverter is a device that can convert DC voltage and current into AC voltage and current, so that with an alternative energy inverter it can be used to turn on lights, fans, and others. In this research, the design of a pure sine inverter is carried out using the EGS002 module as a sine signal generator, the HY4008 MOSFET driver as a power amplifier, a step-up transformer to increase the voltage from 12 V to 220 V and a filter capacitor that functions to reduce the ripple that occurs, so that the output waveform can be sinusoidal. The test is done by observing the output voltage, frequency and waveform generated by the inverter. The test results show that the designed inverter is capable of producing a sine wave with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 220 V. This designed inverter also has a stable output due to feedback on the EGS002.
