Abstract
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world, Libya's internal conflict has escalated as the rival forces rejected the UN's call for a 'global ceasefire'. Khalifa Haftar's loyalist forces, the Libyan National Army (LNA) are stepping up attacks in the elsewhere across the country. To counter the LNA attack, Turkey as the main supporter of the Government of National Accord (GNA) began deploying its military to areas that have been controlled by the LNA. This study attempts to explain the factors that are sway to the Turkey’s involvement in Libyan conflict on 2019-2020. The theory used in this study is William D. Coplin's foreign policy framework which explains the role of various elements in shaping a country's foreign policy. The conclusion of this study is that Turkey involved in Libya's internal affairs on the basis of the consideration of the legitimacy of Erdogan's stronger, protecting Turkey's economic interest in Libya and Turkey's isolation in the Mediterranean by the members of the EastMed gas forum
