Abstract

Countries in the Middle East have established diplomatic relations with Indonesia except for Israel, which can be proven by the absence of an Israeli representative office or embassy in Indonesia and vice versa. Indonesia through its calling visa policy issued in 2012 illustrates that Indonesia and Israel interact with each other, whereas in Indonesia's domestic politics, matters relating to Israel are sensitive issues. . The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine has caused Indonesia to tend to be confrontational with Israel. However, with the implementation of the calling visa policy, Indonesia shows an attitude that is contrary to what has always been done to Israel. In addition, this paper also wants to explain how Indonesia takes a policy and what interests Indonesia wants to achieve through the implementation of the calling visa policy in 2012-2020.
