PERAN PANCA DASAR PERSAUDARAAN SETIA HATI TERATE DALAM PEMBENTUKAN AKHLAK SISWA DI RANTING KASIHAN, BANTUL

The social crisis and the transition period in adolescents have a big influence and tend to deviate. Pencak Silat (a traditional Indonesian martial art) teaches about physical education and moral education. PSHT, which is a martial art with the most mass, aims to educate people with noble character to know right and wrong and fear God Almighty. This study aims to (1) determine the history of the formation of the Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate, (2) To determine the role of the Panca Dasar (Five Foundations) PSHT in the moral formation of students in Ranting Kasihan, and (3) To determine the factors that support and inhibit the moral formation of prospective PSHT members in Ranting Kasihan. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with research subjects 4 (four) prospective members of the residents (students) of the Pencak Silat Setia Hati Terate and 1 (one) Pencak Silat Setia Hati Terate trainer. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) PSHT is a means of moral formation which has the aim of educating humans with noble character, knowing right and wrong and piety to God Almighty, (2) the role of the Five Foundations in PSHT can be used to educate students’ morals, especially honesty and discipline, (3) the importance of the coach’s role in dealing with factors that hinder the moral formation and become a supporting factor in moral formation. This study concludes that the goal of the Pencak Silat Setia Hati Terate organization is to be able to educate its members, especially honesty and discipline.
