Abstract
Indonesia is a country with a Muslim majority in 2020 the Muslim population reaches 87.2% of the total Muslim population in Indonesia (Word Population Review), this makes the use of halal cosmetics increase, especially in adolescents who are used to changing their physical appearance and maintain their appearance. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the use of halal cosmetics on students of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This research is an observational study with design cross sectional. Determination of the sample was carried out by purposive sampling method, obtained as many as 137 respondents from the Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta who used halal cosmetics. The research instrument in the form of an e-questionnaire is used to see the factors that influence the use of halal cosmetics which refers to functional, conditional, emotional, social, epistemic, and religiosity values. Analysis of the research data using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results obtained were functional p value 0.009 < 0.1, conditional p value 0.004 < 0.1, emotional value 0.000 < 0.1, social value p 0.196 > 0.1, epistemic p value 0.007 < 0.1 and religiosity value p 0.629 > 0.1. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant relationship on functional, conditional, emotional and epistemic values on the use of halal cosmetics while on social values
