Abstract
The agricultural sector is very important, where the population growth rate is not balanced with the existing agricultural land area, with the agricultural area starting to narrow, innovations for the development of the agricultural sector appear. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without using a growing medium from the soil, “which means hydroponics is growing in water that contains a mixture of nutrients. One of the existing hydroponic systems is the running water system (Nutrient Film Technique). This study aims to design an automatic control device for pH, water temperature and ambient temperature, where the optimal water pH is 6-6.5 and the hydroponic plant temperature is 28-30℃. The controller uses arduino, the environmental temperature sensor uses DHT22, and the water temperature uses DS18B20, for the aquator uses a water pump, heater and peltier. The test is carried out using a pH meter to compare the pH value of the sensor and a thermometer to compare the sensor temperature value, then observe changes in the sensor value to the on-off load where the controller driver uses an optocoupler PC817 and an IRFZ44 mosfet. The test results show that this automatic controller can work well, controlling pH and temperature at their optimum values.
