Abstract
COVID-19 first appeared in 2019 in China and quickly spread around the world including Indonesia. The efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection were to adopt COVID-19 preventive behaviors. COVID-19 prevention behaviour can be affected by various factors. The purpose of this study is to identify factors that can affect COVID-19 prevention behavior. The study is a quantitative, observational design with a cross sectional studies. The method of sampling in this study use the quota sampling. The subject is 152 students of Non-Health Science Student’s Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta class of 2018 which was randomly selected as many as 4 study programs. The statistical analysis used is simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The correlation between knowledge and COVID-19 prevention behavior shows results p-value = 0.955. The correlation between belief and COVID-19 prevention behavior shows results p-value = 0,000. The correlation between attitude and COVID19 prevention behaviors shows results p-value =0,000. An analysis of factors that can affect COVID-19 prevention behavior simultaneously shows results of p-value = 0,000. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that there is no significant correlation between knowledge about COVID-19 and COVID-19 prevention behavior. There is a significant correlation between beliefs about COVID-19 and COVID-19 prevention behavior. There is a significant correlation between attitudes about COVID-19 and COVID-19 prevention behavior. Factors in the study such as knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, gender, health conditions, history of disease can simultaneously affect COVID-19 prevention behavior.
