Abstract
Women participation is one of the problems in economic growth in a region. This study will discuss how the influence and direction of the relationship of women participation in the aspect of labor based on the economic sector on economic growth in developing ASEAN member countries. The data used is panel data from employment in 3 general sectors over a period of 5 years, from 2014 to 2018. The analysis tool is multiple linear regression using a fixed effect model. The estimation results show that, women participation in the aspect of labor in the agricultural sector has an insignificant effect on economic growth. Unlike the case in the industrial and service sectors, women participation in the workforce aspect has a negative and significant impact on economic growth in developing ASEAN member countries. The industrial and service sectors both have opposite directions for the influence of women participation (in the labor aspect) on economic growth. Meanwhile, the influence of women participation on the service sector is greater than the industrial sector. Other variables that positively affect the economic growth rate of ASEAN member developing countries are the growth rate of the working-age population and the level of economic openness
