HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN COMMON COLD DENGAN PERILAKU SWAMEDIKASI COMMON COLD PADA MASYARAKAT KELURAHAN TAMANTIRTO KASIHAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

Common cold or nasopharyngitis is one of the respiratory tract infections that is included in the non-specific category with symptoms of fever, runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing which can be treated with self-medication. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency in 2020, as many as 63.29% of the people of the Special Region of Yogyakarta perform self-medication if they are sick. The Bantul District Health Office stated that the common cold was the second highest incidence of disease in health centers in Bantul Regency in 2019, with 84,142 patients. One of the factors known to play a role in self-medication is the level of knowledge about the disease being suffered. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of knowledge common cold with swamedikasi behavior common cold. Study this uses an observational research method, namely the method cross sectional. Samples were taken using atechnique non probability sampling with method cluster sampling. The total number of samples that meet the inclusion criteria is 100 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire that has been validated and tested for reliability. Questionnaires were distributed directly to the people of Tamantirto Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. Data was analyzed using correlation spearman rank to look at the relationship level knowledge of common cold with swamedikasi behavior common cold. The results showed that the level of knowledge was good at 22%, quite good 49%, not good at 29%. The level of good behavior is 58%, quite good 12%, not good 30%. There is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge of the common cold with the behavior of self-medication common cold in the community of Kelurahan Tamantirto Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta with a significant value of 0.143 and a weak correlation of 0.148.
