Abstract
Background : Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a health problem in the form of an infectious disease that is currently being faced in various parts of the world. COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 can attack anyone, including infants, children, adults, the elderly, and pregnant women. Pregnant women are a group that is vulnerable to health problems, especially infectious diseases and psychological disorders in the form of anxiety. Factors causing anxiety in pregnant women can be caused by age, parity, and level of education. This study is needed to determine the relationship between age, parity, and education level with the level of anxiety of pregnant women in preparing for childbirth during the Covid-19 pandemic Methods : This study is quantitative using an analytical observational method with a cross sectional approach that observes the relationship between the independent variables (age, parity, and education level) and the dependent variable (anxiety levels of pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic) at one time. The subjects were 102 pregnant women who routinely performed antenatal care at the Yogyakarta AMC Clinic who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria during July – September 2021. Anxiety level measurements were assessed using the Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (TMAS) questionnaire. Result : The results of statistical analysis using the Spearman Rho test obtained a significant value (p<0.05) between age, parity, and education level with the anxiety of pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic with each p value of (p=0.021), (p=0.023), and (p=0.039). Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between age, parity, and education level with the anxiety of pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic.
