PERBEDAAN HASIL PENGUKURAN PANJANG KERJA DENGAN METODE RADIOGRAF DAN APEX LOCATOR GENERASI IV PADA PERAWATAN SALURAN AKAR GIGI BERAKAR TUNGGAL

Endodontic is an important method in order to maintaining the function of teeth, preserving the dental arches on anterior teeth and to perform the aesthetic of the teeth. To acquire those functions, the endodontic therapy has to be perform under three steps: bio-mechanical preparation, sterilization and obturation.
The design of the research was an analytic observation research. The study was fully conducted by tracking the patient's data on medical record. The function of medical record was to seek the number of patient who had been performed the root canal treatment and compared the result of those data based on the way to determine working length (by radiography or 4th Generation Apex Locator).
The result showed that the comparison different of the working length result between the radiography and 4th Generation Apex Locator technique was not significant. The analysis of this issue was both method used by the dentist to determining the working length was the accepted and valid method to determining the working length at root canal treatment.
