Abstract
Root canal treatment is a complex endodontics treatment which consist of several stages. The success of root canal treatment is depend on its stages. There are three stages that can support root canal treatment. First is stage of preparations, sterilization and obturations. One of the stages that must be concerned is the stage of sterilization which has function to eliminate bacteria in order to sterilize the root canal and reducing teeth pain after being treated so that it is able to work properly. This study is aimed to evaluate clinically to the success of root canal treatment on anterior teeth that had pulp necrosis in Asri Medical Centre of Yogyakarta. The type of this research is observasional. The data was collected by measuring the previous medical report of respondents before and after experienced the root canal treatment to determine respondents' condition. This study used 30 respondents and the data is analyzed by using wilcoxon test. Based on the data observed, there is a dental conditions change of respondents before root canal treatment, two weeks after sterilization using Ca (OH)2, and two months since root canal treatment. The result of the statistical test shows that there is an effect to the condition of respondents before root canal treatment, two weeks after sterilization using Ca(OH)2 and two months since root canal treatment (p<0.05). It indicates that during this period, the condition of respondents change into a good condition and this proves that root canal treatment is successful clinically.
