Abstract

This thesis will discuss the results of free trade cooperation between Japan and the European Union, namely the Japan-EU Free Trade Agreement / JEFTA, this agreement regulates many free trade agreements, one of which is in the automotive industry. However, Britain's exit from the European Union had an impact on the Japanese-EU automotive industry, and one of the effects was the abolition of vehicle tariffs. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of Japanese automotive exports after Brexit from 2011 to 2020. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with secondary data collection. And the results of this study indicate that the effect of the UK's exit did not decrease the development of Japanese automotive exports in the European Union, but added new production for the UK.
