Abstract
In this study, the researcher discusses how the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service crisis communication strategy in mitigating Covid-19 to the community (a case study for the March - December 2020 period on the @kabarsleman Instagram account. The purpose of this study is to determine the crisis communication strategy of the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service in mitigating Covid-19). -19 to the public for the period March - December 2020 on the Instagram account @kabarsleman. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and a case study method. Then the validity test of the data used by the researcher is triangulation of sources. The results of the study show that the crisis communication strategy activity through Instagram @kabarsleman carried out by Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service was to adopt the concept according to Coleman, namely planning objectives, approaches, communication priorities, roles and responsibilities, setting role profiles, scenarios and key messages, among others. priorities, resources, and conduct reviews and evaluations. From this stage, it shows that the Sleman Sleman District Communications and Information Technology uses Instagram which aims to provide all information related to Covid-19 in the Sleman area by uploading images and videos as a form of conveying information. The key messages that the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service want to convey are in the form of various information related to Covid-19. The roles and responsibilities are carried out by the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service, which is led directly by the Head of the Sleman District Communication and Information Office. This study found that the activities carried out by the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service through Instagram could facilitate the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service in conveying information related to Covid-19 to the public. In its implementation, Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Service experienced problems in adding staff in the content creator section. In addition, reviews and evaluations are not properly carried out because evaluations are not carried out regularly and there is no evaluation related to the effectiveness and efficiency of crisis communication.
