Abstract
Patient Centered Care (PCC) is a new paradigm that must be applied in health services in Indonesia, placing the patient as the center of health care where there is a group that respects each other and is responsive to all the needs and values of individual patients. The implementation of the Patient Centered Care (PCC) system in the children's section at the Mardhatillah Randudongkal Islamic Hospital can improve the ability or professional quality of patient care providers.This study aims to determine the difference before and after the implementation of Patient-Centered Care (PCC) at the Islamic Hospital Mardhatillah Randudongkal as a basis for assessing hospital readiness. This study was divided into two groups of patients, namely the treatment group and the control group. The two groups came from the same hospital of origin, the difference was only in the time of data collection. Both groups were given pre-test and post-test. Respondents from both the treatment group and the control group each amounted to 12 people for patients and for Child Care Professionals (PPA) using a saturated sample, where the population was also used as a sample. The results of the hypothesis test showed that there were differences in the perceptions of patients in the treatment group and the control group before and after the implementation of Patient Center Care services in the children's section at Mardhatillah Islamic Hospital. can be concluded that there are differences in patient perceptions in the pediatric section before and after the implementation of PCC in the control group and in the intervention group at the Islamic Hospital Mardhatillah Randudongkal. Thus, PCC should be fully implemented by all PPA because it can increase the comfort level of patients and their families and can improve the quality of hospitals in various dimensions of PCC.
