Abstract
This study aims to analyze the sources of shocks on conventional banks in Indonesia after the 2008 crisis. The data in this study use quarterly time series secondary data obtained through Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia with the research period January 2009-December 2019. The independent variables used in this study are inflation, credit interest rates, and rupiah exchange rates. Meanwhile, the dependent variable uses NPL as a proxy for shocks. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis with the Eviews 7 program. Based on the research results, it was found that the variable Exchange Rate and Credit Interest Rates have a significant positive effect on Non-Performing Loans (NPL). While the inflation variable has no significant positive effect on Non Performing Loans (NPL).
