HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN HIPERTENSI DENGAN KEPATUHAN PENGGUNAAN OBAT ANTIHIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS PANDAK KABUPATEN BANTUL

Hypertension or high blood pressure disease is a disease that needs to be controlled in order to control blood pressure. Hypertensive therapy takes a long time so it will affect the patient's level of compliance in taking the drug. People with hypertension with low drug compliance tend to experience therapeutic failure. Based on riskesdas data in 2018, 32.27% of people with hypertension in Indonseia do not routinely take medicine even 13.33% of people with hypertension in Indonesia do not take drugs at all. This study aims to find out the relationship between age, gender, concomitant diseases, types of therapy and the length of time patients suffer from hypertension with adherence to the use of antihypertensive drugs at the Pandak Health Center of Bantul Regency. This study is a type of non-experimental study with a cross sectional design and data retrieval in this study using the MMAS-8 questionnaire (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale 8) to measure patient drug compliance and patient medical record data to see age, gender, concomitant disease, type of therapy and length of time the patient suffers from hypertension. The study was conducted on 72 study subjects, namely patients with hypertension at the Pandak health center for the period August 2021. The relationship between age, sex, concomitant disease, type of therapy and the length of time the patient suffered from hypertension with the degree of adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs was analyzed using the chi square test. The results of the study of the level of drug compliance respondents showed that as many as 50 respondents (69.4%) received a "high" category score, as many as 12 respondents (16.7%) got a "moderate" category score, and as many as 10 respondents (13.9%) got a "low" category score. The results of the chi square test showed that there was no significant association between age, sex, concomitant disease and long-suffering with adherence to taking hypertension patients' medication at the pandak health center in August 2021 (p>0.05).
