Abstract
The family has an important role in the recovery of family members who experience symptoms of hallucinations. Spiritual healers have an important role in some communities because it is related to using the concept of the cause of illness in seeking help in curing clients. There are many kinds of methods used by spiritual healers in curing patients, either by ruqyah, prayer or remembrance methods, and by the method of water that has been read a prayer and then drunk to the patient or by bathing. The purpose of this study was to explore the family's experience in curing family members who experienced symptoms of hallucinations through spiritual treatment. This research method uses qualitative research with descriptive studies. Participants in this study were families who had clients with symptoms of hallucinations, totaling 6 people. The method of data collection is through semi-structured interviews. Data analysis using data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing by testing the validity of the credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. Based on this study, there were 3 themes, 1) Reasons for choosing spiritual treatment, 2) Belief in treatment, 3) Feelings that occurred in the family. The family said that after their child was given spiritual treatment, hallucinations were reduced, they wanted to do activities, their mind was calmer, and they could control their emotions. By giving spiritual therapy to patients, it can give patients a sense of self-confidence, a sense of optimism (hope for healing), bring peace, peace. , and feel the presence of God Almighty.
