Abstract
This research aims to: (1) determine teacher support during the covid 19 pandemic learning period towards students at SMPN 3 Satu Atap Kundur, (2) find out the expressing opinions confidence among students during the covid 19 pandemic learning period at SMPN 3 Satu Atap Kundur, (3) examine the effect of teacher support on expressing opinions confidence during the covid 19 pandemic learning period towards students at SMPN 3 Satu Atap Kundur. The method used in this research was causal comparative with a quantitative approach. The research population were students of SMPN 3 Satu Atap Kundur, totaling 86 students. The research sample amounted to 71 respondents who were taken using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis test and simple linear regression test. The results of this research indicate that: (1) the teacher support at SMPN 3 Satu Atap Kundur is in the very high category, which is 79%, (2) the expressing opinions confidence of students at SMPN 3 Satu Atap Kundur is in the very high category, which is 83% (3), there is a significant effect of teacher support on the expressing opinions confidence. This can be proven by the results which show that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05. The effect of the teacher's support variable on the variable of expressing opinions confidence is 41.8%. Therefore, there is a positive effect of teacher support on expressing opinions confidence.
