Abstract This Research aims to analyze the role of sectorIsubsector on agriculture to the economy in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. This research data used Gross Regional Domestic Products during the period 2011-2015, it was using method analysis Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient, Shill Share, and Shortrun Multiplier. The results of this research show that the agriculture sector contributed 47,77 % to establishing Regency GRDP of Kuantan Singingi, and the plantation subsector had many contributions. Results from LQ analysis shows agriculture sector still to be sector superior. However, there is some subsector experiencing reposition in the future that is subsector forestry, subsector plantation, and subsector livestock. Then, subsector agricultural that potential developed in the future is subsector plant food and subsector horticulture. Sector agriculture takes effect positive to the regional economy, but rate growth subsector forestry more slow compared to other sectors in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. In a manner whole in part big subsector agriculture still compete with other districts. Value Shortrun Multiplier sector agriculture amounting to 2,09 it shows magnitude role sector agriculture to economic area.
