Abstract

The financial institution such as a banking, have the function of collecting and distributing of funding to society. Activity bank never escaped from financing problems. Beside factor financing from customer, another factor to make financing problem happen is the macroeconomics shocks. The purpose of this research is to empirically analyze the effect of macroeconomic conditions (inflations,interest rate, exchange rate,and GDP) on the Non-Performing Ratio (NPF) of Islamic banking in Indonesia in the period January 2009 to July 2014. The data analysis used in this study is Error Correction Model (ECM) of the aggregate data shariah banking in Indonesia. The results showed in the short-term relationship that no one have significant effect on NPF. Furthermore, after the correction on the long-term relationship, the result showed that three variables inflation, exchange rate, and GDP have negarive effect on NPF Islamic banks, while BI rate has positf effect on NPF.
