PENGARUH EDUKASI CARA PENCEGAHAN DIARE TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN ORANG TUA ANAK PRA SEKOLAH DI TK DARMA BAKTI 4 KASIHAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

Background: The number of cases of diarrhea in Yogyakarta city ranks first with a total 913 cases with proportion 1.6% (Dinkel, 2013). One risk of diarrhea is the knowledge of parents in terms of hygiene, of individuals or the environment, feeding patterns, socio economic and socio-cultural. So it takes an increased awareness and knowledge of older people the importance of prevention of diarrhea. The granting of health education in the form of education is very important to improve the knowledge of the elderly on prevention of diarrhea.
Goals: To know the effect of education on prevention of parents knowledge of preschool children.
Research Methods: This type of research with experimental approach pre one group pre test and post test. The population in this research is 74 parents or caregivers. Sample as many as 37 respondents using a sampling incidental. The research was carried out on June 10, 2017 at TK Darma Sakti Bantul Yogyakarta Pity 4. The data collected in the analysis of the test with wilcoxon sign test. Results : The results of the analysis that was done showed significant value prior education 0.475 (p < 0.05) and after done education 0.000 (p < 0.05). It can be seen that there is a difference in knowledge of the respondent before and after done education. Conclusion: There is the influence of the before and after is done to knowledge education parents preschool children. Keywords : Diarrhea, Education, Knowledge
