PENGARUH PERBEDAAN MENYIKAT GIGI MENGGUNAKAN BULU SIKAT SOFT DAN BULU SIKAT MEDIUM SERTA PERBEDAAN MENYIKAT GIGI DENGAN METODE VERTIKAL DAN METODE HORISONTAL TERHADAP PENURUNAN PLAK PADA ANAK PEREMPUAN USIA 12 TAHUN

Tooth brush is one of mecanic tool with is often used people to clean the teeth. The effektivity to brush the teeth depends on the design of tooth brush, method, frequenly, and period of tooth brushing. At the moment, it has spread such as form of holding, brush wheel and kind of brush wheel which is used. The power of brush wheel is a factor which must be attented because it will be felt directly in tooth brushing and has relation with effec of tooth cleaning. The purpose of the researc it to get describing an effectif tooth brush to clean plaque by soft wheel brush and medium wheel soft by vertical and horizontal metode. This research is practiced by abstrak experimental by approaching subject and reobservation. The subject consist of 30 adolecence in age 12 years. The measument of plaque before and after using tooth brush which given by reasearch, after that it is practiced analyzing of average by T-test. By the result of data analizyng show that there is different significantly clearly in average of medium tooth brush the teeth (p<0.05). the average of medium tooth brush shows average of plaque score is bigger 0,1646 than soft wheel tooth brush 0.0126. in one side, the result of data analyzing also show defference significantly between brush the teeth by vertical and horizontal method (p<0,05). When subject brush the teeth by horizontal method shows the average of plaque score is bigger 0,1913 than by vertical method mean 0,0141. The conclusion, medium wheel brush is more effective to clean plaque than soft wheel brush and horizontal method is more effective than vertical method.
