Background: Physical fitness means the body's ability to perform daily actifities without fatigue and still enough energy. The heart rate is a wave that is felt in the arteries caused by blood pumping by the heart to the blood vessels. Someone has a good level of physical fitness will have a stable heart rate due to the efficiency of cardiovascular work. Objective: To determine the correlation between physical fitness level and heart rate the student of nursing science at the university muhammadiyah of yogyakarta last semsters Methodology: The type of this research is quantitative study with correlational design using cross-sectional approach. The sample of this research as much as 55 respondens used proportional stratified total sampling technic physical fitness level and heart rate was measured by Hardvard Step Test and palpasi. The statistic test to determine the correlation between physical fitness level and heart rate used Spearman Rank Results: Analysis by Spearman Rank p value 0,002 (<0,05), its mean there is correlation between both of variable (physical fitness level and heart rate). With strong correlation (r = -0.409) and negative direction. Conclusion: There is correlation between physical fitness level and heart rate the student of nursing science at the university Muhammadiyah Of Yogyakarta last semester
