Abstract
Based on the research, got the description that the learning of Islam religion education and competence basic hasn't been followed by the teachers at SMPN 2 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon in implementing learning strategy. It can be seen from the indications, Learning design which in done by the teacher using conventional method without using various learning strategy. Beside that the score of student's learning achievement is not satisfaction. The problem from this research that is "is there relationship between teacher's competence in implementing learning strategy and student's learning achievement of PAI at SMPN 2 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon. The purpose of this research is to get data about: 1) to describe teacher competence in implementing PAI learning strategy at SMPN 2 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon, 2) to modify the result of student's learning achievement of PA! at SMPN 2 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon, 3) to prove that there is correlation between teacher competence in implementing strategy and the result of PAI student's learning achievement at SMPN 2 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon. Competence is the ability of someone in doing certain profession. A. Profession without competence is non sense. The efforts of teacher competence have been done through teaching education, teacher graining and certification program. This research using quantitative technique, correlative research, data collection is done by question technique, interview and observation. The data which comes from questionnaire is done by using quantification presentation formula through deviation standard. but correlative product moment correlation formula. The result from this research are as follow: 1) PAI teacher competence level at SMPN 2 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon in implementing learning strategy is enough (55.80%). 2) student's learning achievement of PAI consists of the student's can read holy Qur'an. doing praying and have good behavior, it's enough (68,53%). 3) correlation level between teacher competence and student's learning achievement can reach 0.183. so. it's concluded that there is significant relationship between teacher competence and student learning achievement it mean that when the teacher competence in implementing learning strategy is low or enough, it can make the achievement not maximal.
