Abstract
Abstract
Self-reflection is important for teaching and learning process. Students
who want to evaluate their learning process can use self-reflection as a tool to help
them reflect their knowledge and understanding. The purpose of this research is to
explorestudents of English Education Department perception on self-reflection
and to find out the contributions of self-reflection in their learning. This research
used gualitative research to find out students” perception and the contributions of
self-reflection. The participants in this research were six participants of English
Education students” batch 2013. The writer chooses the participants based on their
GPA. The writer used an interview as the instrument of the data collection.
However, the result of the interview shows that English Education Department
students perceive that self-reflection is an effective way to evaluate their learning
and there are some contributions of self-reflection such as self-reflection helps to
monitor their learning, develops self-awareness and etc.
