Abstract

Glass ionomerART has hydrofil charateristic, hydrofil element will absorb water slowly in specific time range. Coffee is one kind of drinks that usually consumed Coffee has their own colour substance which called tannin, that solulable in the water, so the colour substance that solubled will absorbed too and it can cause changes filling. The objective of this reseach is to knowing how far the influence of coffee soaking time with glass ionomer's ART colour changes. Research desain is laboratory experiment, with five sample, used three of intervention group continuously ,three days soaking time group, six days soaking time group, and nine days soaking time group in coffee. Sample that use was glass ionomer ART (GC Fuji IX 1-1 PING). Anchorage shape with 8 mm of diameter and 1 mm of thick it soaked in incubator with 37°C. After that, we saw the chromatisitas of colour in each soaking group by Spectrophotometer and the result calculated by AE*ab formula. The analyze used one way Anava, and continued by LS13/4051est, to know the mean differences between intervention group. The result show that the lower colour changes chromatisitas mean of glass ionomer ART was three days soaking time, follow by six days soaking time and the higest colour change chromatisitas mean of glass ionomer ART was nine days soaking time. From the Analyze result of one way Anava, we got p < 0,0.5, there was influencing between soaking time of coffee with glass ionomer ART colour changes. From LS130,o5 test show the significant differences of colour changes value between each soaking group the colour changes mostly happened in three days soaking time group to nine days soaking times group than three days soaking time group to six days soaking time group and also show the colour changes mostly happen in three day soaking time group to six day soaking time group than six day to nine days soaking time group.
