KARYA TULIS ILMIAH PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KURMA (Phoenix dactilifera) dan MADU (Apex . dorsalis) TERHADAP KADAR HEMOGLOBIN PADA KELOMPOK USIA 16-18 tahun

Anemia means lack of red blood cells that can be caused by loss of blood that is too fast or lack of the red blood cell production. The cause of iron deficiency anemia, anemia due to chronic disease and anemia sideroblastik is reduced or impaired iron utilization by bone marrow progenitor eritroid. Anemia is defined as a decrease below normal levels of hemoglobin, erythrocyte count and hematocrit. Hemoglobin is a protein complex containing ferrous iron and the four globin chains. Normal iron intake of men is usually only 0.5 to 1.0 mg / day, while women from 1.0 to 1.5 mg / day. Dates and honey are two fruits that are mentioned in al-Quran has many benefits. Dates contain a complete nutrition, even the iron content is 2.1 mg/100 gram. In honey there are many contains vitamins, acids, minerals, enzymes and antibodies. This study is an experimental study with pretest and posttest control method design on 30 people aged 16-18 years who lived in boarding school (ponpes) Ali Maksum Krapyak Yogyakarta. Implementation begins with the provision of informed consent, followed by the election dates and honey according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Before the treatment given, the subject examined hemoglobin concentration first. The principle to measure the hemoglobin is use the Cyanmethemoglobin method. Having examined and given treatment, we check the hemoglobin again. Data were analyzed using a Paired Sample T-Test. Results from studies of hemoglobin found an increase in levels between before and after giving dates and honey where the difference was statistically significant.
