Abstract
Learning pronunciation is considered tough and boring by the teachers, so they did not teach it in schools. This made EFL Learners should enrolled an extra course that requires expensive cost to learn pronunciation, but huge appreciation to the development of technology which created pronunciation applications so that EFL Learners can learn pronunciation with low cost and able to use it anywhere and anytime. ELSA Speak as one of those application is the focus of this study. This study aimed to investigate how does ELED students used ELSA Speak particularly on the frequently, duration settings, monitor their progress, and to reveal the benefits of using ELSA Speak in learning English pronunciation skill. Descriptive qualitative is used to collect the data from 6 participants of English Language Education Department (ELED) on a private University in Yogyakarta. Furthermore, Interview with structured interview design were used as the data collection method. The findings showed that ELED students used ELSA Speak 2- 3 times per week with the duration 10-30 minutes, they always monitor their progress using review feature, and successfully discover new learning strategy using dictionary feature. Furthermore, intonation, word stress, fluency and accuracy skill were found increased based on the interviews.
