Abstract
Character education is an important part of building education. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has attacked almost countries, including Indonesia, and the government released a policy on online learning. Therefore implementing character education in online learning is a new challenge for teachers. This research was conducted to find out the types of character in online learning and teachers’ strategies for implementing character education in online learning. This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive design approach and interviews to collect the data from three participants. Firstly, the researcher found that there are seven types of characters namely independence, responsibility, religiosity, honesty, discipline, respect, and collaboration. Secondly, the researcher found five strategies to implement character education are implementing technology, setting deadline, conducting discussion forum, creating classroom rules, and giving motivation.
